“I saw these guys one night, Jake Davis & The Whiskey Stones. I loved their vibe, Jake’s Tom Waits-ish scratchy old man vocals, their understated talent…”
-Portsmouth Our City Radio
With his roots in Seacoast, NH, Jake shares his food for thought with a whiskey soaked, gravely voice, an acoustic guitar, and a few harmonicas. At the budding age of 25, Jake’s songs tell the tales of an old soul, who has survived the trials and troubles of labor, love, and loss; An old soul who has been molded by long nights, mild neurosis, ruckus-raising hootenannies, women, temptation, and American music. More often than not, you can find him performing in clubs, bars, and places in-between a solo artist, or with the band, Jake Davis & the Whiskey Stones.
Keep an ear and an eye out for Jake’s first studio release, "Live and Learn", released May 3rd, 2014 at the Stone Church. The album was recorded live at 1130 ft, by Chris Chase. You can purchase your copy on iTunes, Amazon, or CD Baby. Expect to see Jake touring the East Coast and the Greater New England area this year.
Jake has shared the stage with national and regional acts such as Crushed Out, the Van Burens, the Dead Winter Carpenters, Tokyo Rosenthal, Rockspring, People Like You, Daemon Chili, and Long Gone.
